UnChurched is based on the comedic, bizarre, dramatic, and sometimes unbelievable happenings experienced in this unconventional congregation. Here, the lives of this disparate group of members, leaders, attenders, and visitors at the community church called Progression are presented. Here, Pastor Will, an innovative pastor and former Hollywood agent is a church's new pastor struggling to find its identity. His free-spirited wife, River, a former actress from a long-standing series, and nothing like a traditional pastor’s wife, stands by his side to marshal the diverse group of attendees. The regular attenders and visitors are largely a bunch of self-identified nonconformists who bond due to their shared place in life. Progression is their home away from home, a safe space, and a place where relationships matter and differences don’t.
